The celebrations also provided an opportunity to raise funds for two important charities, with an outstanding total of £3,300 donated thanks to the generosity of those who attended.

The family would like to sincerely thank their close friends and family for their kindness, generosity and support in helping to raise such a wonderful amount for two very worthwhile causes.

Sadly, two days after the presentation of the proceeds, Mrs Darragh, who was a familiar and much-loved face in the local community, passed away peacefully at her home on October 2.
