Celebrating Book Character Day at St Catherine's PS

Pupils at St Catherine's PS took centre stage as they organised and led the celebrations for Book Character Day, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm for reading.
WELCOME to part two of our pictorial special of the Book Character Day celebrations at St Catherine’s Primary School in Strabane.
The celebration marks the end of the school’s annual Book Week.
Following a week of literacy fun and learning, pupils dressed up as their favourite literary characters - and staff joined in on the fun too.
Last week’s edition featured all the fun at the junior site, and this week, it’s the turn of the senior site.
A school spokesperson said: “Heartfelt thanks as always to our devoted parents, who , year after year, support their children's learning by helping to make this event so special for their children.
“You are totally amazing and very much to be commended. Thanks to all our staff who take part fully in every part of it and facilitate amazing learning opportunities for our children .
“From book reviews, character analyses, illustrations, book speeches, nursery rhymes, reading activities and much more.
“Thanks to Mrs Connolly , VP and Literacy Leader, who organised the whole week's activities.
“Thanks to each and every child who joined in right from Nursery to Year 7. You are all superstars!”
