ARDSTRAW produced their best performance of the season to date, securing an emphatic 6–1 away victory over a strong Magheraveely side.
The afternoon got off to the worst possible start, with Magheraveely taking the lead after just 15 seconds.
However, Christopher Wallace's side reacted in emphatic style.
Ardstraw quickly settled into their rhythm, taking control of proceedings and dominating the first half to go into the break with a commanding 3–1 lead.
The second half followed much the same pattern, with Ardstraw continuing to dictate the game and add another three goals to complete a superb team performance and claim all three points.
Striker Alaaeddine Dhouioui continued his prolific form in front of goal, netting four goals and deservedly taking home the Man of the Match award
Fellow striker Adam McFarland also scored, while captain, Dylan Rankin, rounded off the scoring with Ardstraw's sixth goal of the afternoon.
The result - a fifth win in five for the Vaughan's Holm side - sees Ardstraw sit second, three points adrift of leaders Drumquin United and with one game in hand.
A club spokesperson said: "The character shown today was exceptional. To go behind so early, away from home and respond in the manner we did says everything about this group.
"Every player contributed and every man involved was a credit to the club.
"A massive thank you to the supporters who made the journey.
"Once again the backing was outstanding and is hugely appreciated by the players and management.
"A big result and a big performance but our feet stay firmly on the ground.
"We have a free weekend ahead but the work continues on the training ground and the standards do not change.
"Huge credit to the lads today. Outstanding from start to finish."
