A number of Tyrone schools received the letter

DETAILS of the chilling letter issued to schools targeted in this morning’s bomb threat have been revealed.

Around 300 schools across Northern Ireland, including Tyrone and Fermanagh, were targeted.

The letter, pictured, warned of an “urgent notification that an explosive device containing ammonium nitrate (ANFO) is currently located inside the building”.

“Today, with Allah’s permission, we will carry out a series of planned terrorist attacks across the country,” the letter continued.

“What you experience today is only the beginning. One day, your government will surrender its authority, and Sharia law will be established.”

The letter was signed ‘Allahu Akbar’
