Memorial tournament raises £600 for Castlederg Patient and Comfort Terminally Ill Fund.
THE annual John Forsythe Memorial Cup has raised £600 for charity.
The game, a highlight of Dergview FC's pre-season friendly programme, is held to honour the memory of former club stalwart, John Forsythe, who tragically passed away following a road traffic collision 10 years ago.
Premiership outfit Dungannon Swifts were the visitors to Darragh Park on July 18, when as expected, a strong Dungannon side ran out deserved 3-0 winners.
All donations at the gate were in aid of the Castlederg Patient Comfort and Terminally Ill Fund.
A Dergview spokesperson said: "At our recent John Forsythe Memorial Match, held on Saturday, July 18 against Dungannon Swifts, we were delighted to raise £600 for the Castlederg Patient and Comfort Terminally Ill Fund.
"We are very pleased to present the donation to this worthwhile local cause and would like to thank everyone who supported the memorial match and helped make the fundraising possible.
"Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported the event."
